That is definitely one not to be missed by any aspiring female professional or entrepreneur. Two award-winning girl bosses will share their insights and hold a group discussion that could take your career to the next level.

Two award winning female professionals – Despina Panayiotou Theodosiou and Amani Vernescu – join us and lead the discussion on cultural differences and ways these affect us in the workplace. Whether it is religion-based, nationality specific or stems from strong corporate culture, we face difficulties in the work environment that are sometimes difficult to overcome. We secured two top-notch speakers and award winning professionals to help us cope.
Despina Panayiotou Theodosiou
is joint Managing Director of the Tototheo Group of Companies, an organization in the Maritime Satellite Communications industry. In 2011 Despina founded WISTA Cyprus – a member of WISTA International – and is the Association’s current President. In 2015 during the International AGM in Turkey, Despina was elected Secretary of WISTA International. Despina is the national advocate for the European Commission’s “Equality Pays Off” Initiative. She also won the titles of “Top Professional” and “Cyprus Business Woman of the Year 2015” at the 9th National Cyprus Business Woman of the Year Awards 2015.
started her journey in the hospitality industry at the age of 16. She has lead the quality initiative in the Four Seasons Hotel for more than 10 years, as a Quality Control Manager. Amani’s career has been focused on the Hospitality Industry for over 26 years, in total. In 2013 she had set up her company Quality Focus. Her portfolio of clients includes some of the most prestigious and luxurious five stars hotels, restaurant management companies and organizations, locally & internationally. Amani won the 10th National “Cyprus Business Woman of the Year 2016” award, in 2017 she served as a judge for the 11th (National) Cyprus Business Woman of the Year Award.
